Aastra 5xi Series Phones

  •  Press the 'Options' button (this either says 'Options' or has a wrench Icon).
  • Select Administrator Menu
  • Select Factory Default - then Default
  • When phone prompts to reboot press 'Cancel'
  • Now Navigate to Erase local configuration in the same menu.  Select the option and press 'Erase'
  • This time select 'Restart'
  • Your phone is now factory defaulted
Things to note:  Aastra phones use DHCP option 66 to find their configuration server.  If you have an IP1000, you will need to delete the configuration file named  <phone's mac address>.conf under PBXSetup->Services and also unassign the phone so it's MAC file will not be regenerated.  If there is a file on the tftpserver and the phone reboots even if defaulted on an IP1000, it will redownload it's configuration.
